GENERAL RETURN POLICIES

Returns are accepted on compatible and remanufactured items for up to 60 days from date of purchase subject to conditions listed below.

Estimated print yields are not a guarantee of minimum life and are not covered under warranty or return policy, but are provided to assist in supplies planning. Actual usage should be used to establish the life of the supply product in each user's specific application. Many factors, such as print coverage per page, paper type and size, model type and environmental conditions can affect supply life.

All non defective sealed cartridges are subject to a 15% restocking fee plus any shipping fees originally discounted. It is the responsibility of the customer to return the non defective cartridges at their own expense.

RETURNS OF DEFECTIVE COMPATIBLE AND REMANUFACTURED ITEMS

If the return date is within 1 year of the date of purchase, your cartridge will be exchanged.

Please note that the shipping method to use in the replacement order will be the same as the one selected in the original order.

SHIPPING DAMAGE RETURNS

If you receive a product that is damaged by shipping, please initiate a return request within 5 business days after receipt of the package. Do not throw away or alter any of the product and packaging, we will need a picture of the damage package in the same condition as it was received in order for us to properly establish that the damage was due to shipping, and not due to some other cause. We will not accept claims for shipping damage if any of the packaging or contents have been altered or discarded. Depending on the original shipping source, we will process the damage claim in one of two ways:

For some claims, we will have to contact the shipping company and file a claim to have the shipping company schedule a pickup and inspection of the package from the customer location.
For some other claims, we will issue a return authorization number for you to return the package to our returns warehouse, following the normal return procedure.

After we are able to properly establish that the product was damaged during shipping, we will replace damaged products free of charge based on return policy.

LOST ORDERS AND WRONG ADDRESSES

If you tried tracking the order via FedEx, USPS, or UPS and you can’t see a delivery confirmation or other delivery activity, it’s possible that the shipment is in transit and still out for delivery. If it’s been more than 10 business days, it’s possible that the shipment is lost in transit.

If the shipment is lost by UPS, USPS or FedEx, a claim has to be filed. OctoInk will file the claim and continue to follow-up with the shipping company until the shipment is arrived or declared lost. Once the claim is accepted by the shipping company, we will be able to issue either a replacement at no cost or a refund.

However, when a shipment shows delivered or signed and shipped to the correct address, no claim can be made and we cannot issue a replacement or a refund.

WRONG ITEMS SHIPPED

Please note that the item codes on the boxes may differ from the ones on our website. Different manufacturers may use different codes for the same item. Since the compatible and remanufactured items work in many printers, it is possible that your printer may not be listed.

If you still believe that you have received the wrong item, please contact us.

WHEN ARE REFUNDS/EXCHANGES PROCESSED?

Once the returned item/s are received in our warehouse we will inspect them and process the refund or replacement. Our normal turnaround time is 3 business days. Please allow an additional 3-4 days to see the credit back on your credit card statement. Your original method of payment will be credited after your return is received.

WARRANTIES

If I use a cartridge other than the Original Manufacturers' will the warranty on my printer be void?

No according to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act the original manufacturer cannot void your warranty for using remanufactured or compatible ink cartridges. See below:

(c) No warrantor of a consumer product may condition his written or implied warranty of such product on the consumer's using, in connection with such product, any article or service (other than article or service provided without charge under the terms of the warranty) which is identified by brand, trade or corporate name; except that the prohibition of this subsection be waived by the commission if:

1) The warrantor satisfies the Commission that the warranted product will function properly only if the article or service so identified is used in connection with the warranted product, and

2) the Commission finds that such a waiver is in the public interest.

This means that your printer warranty cannot be voided just because you choose to use compatible products.

MAGNUSON ACT

WARRANTY OF COMPATIBLE AND REMANUFACTURED ITEMS

Compatible and remanufactured items are warranted to be free of defects in both materials and workmanship for ONE FULL YEAR from date of purchase. These items are manufactured and remanufactured to the most stringent quality control standards possible, guaranteeing performance.
OctoInk, LLC also warrants that subject to the conditions stated below, and under normal use, these items will not cause damage, abnormal wear, or deterioration to any compatible machine.

The tampering of any OctoInk, LLC product by any person or people, other than by an OctoInk representative, voids all warranties and releases OctoInk, LLC from all liability.

OctoInk's liability hereunder shall be limited to replacement or reimbursement as stated above. This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied.

WARRANTY OF OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) ITEMS

Name brand OEM (original equipment manufacturer) items are covered by the respective manufacturer's warranties. We do not warranty or accept returns on defective OEM products. If you encounter problems or receive a defective items please contact the manufacturer for their return procedure. There should be information inside the box on what the customer needs to do to request an exchange from the OEM. For your convenience we listed the manufacturer contact information.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

When will my order ship?

We usually ship all our orders the same or next business day the order was placed. Sometimes, you may expect a slight delay of 2 days. We have a 99% same day shipping rate.

How long will it take after my order ships?

Ground Shipping may take from 3 to 6 business days.

How much is shipping?

Shipping charges are determined by the size of your order. Please confirm charges with your sales representative at the time of ordering.

How do I contact the shipping companies?

What should I do if an item is delivered damaged?

If the item appears to have obvious damage by the Shipping company, immediately tell the driver you do not want to receive this package or call the shipping company to submit a damaged shipment claim. If the damaged package was left or someone else signed for it, there is a grace period of 5 days to file the damage claim. Obtain a control number from the shipping company.

What should I do if an item is missing from my order?

Check the amount of tracking numbers you should have received. Verify you have received all boxes and checked all packing material for small items. If you are still missing an item(s), contact us.

Why was my order sent in multiple packages when it could have all fit into one box?

We keep the safety of your packages in mind with regards to weight and size. In some occasions we shipped from another warehouse.

Why did they separate the packages of my order?

Many times when multiple packages are shipped the shipping company may route the package on to another truck due to space issues. It is quite possible that the shipping company may separate the order for the same order. However, they will make every effort to delivery all packages on the same day.

Do you ship internationally?

We do not currently ship internationally. Currently, we only ship within the United States. Once a package leaves our warehouse it becomes the responsibility of the carrier. The carrier is responsible for any unforeseen delays in your order's arrival. We can help you but we cant guarantee a fast turnaround on this.

Can you send my order COD?

Due to high costs associated with COD orders, we cannot ship any orders COD.

My Package never arrived and it says that it has shipped

In some cases a package can be lost by the carrier and never arrived to the customer. OctoInk can either reship the package or reimburse the customer for the money if the package is claimed before 30 days after the date of purchase. The claims are applicable for packages with no tracking number or packages delivered to wrong addresses. Please remember that NO CLAIMS WILL BE TAKEN PAST THE 30 DAYS.

We only charge sales tax on orders shipped to Texas.
